A new experiment to heat up a west coast IPA recipe. At the time we were thinking about the spicy IPAs that were going around. Some of them were too spicy and we wanted to make some that had little heat and more pepper flavor. The first in the triple brew day and one of the easiest.
The first of the I See Red Ale and not the last. We chopped up the recipe we got from brewers friend and it turned out amazing. So many notes we banged heads together in the home brew shop and battled like maniacs. EKG, Fuggles and Willamette. The hop schedule was an on the fly kind of thing. We had the previous beer weighing in on our decisions and they might have not been as pure as we previously thought them through. The last of the triple brew day marathon beers and one of the best. They all came out pretty good.
A Citra IPA I was experimenting making IPAs. Getting the hang of documenting all of my recipes and brewing as much as I could. I wanted a drinkable west coast IPA and it turned out well. Part of a triple brew day that started at 9am and went until 9pm.
I did some research on Brewers Friend while getting used to brewing All-Grain. Huge batch that nearly bubbled out of the kettle. Lasted a good long time and was delicious. Chinook and Willamette hops.
A second brew of this rich porter with chocolate malt, amber and melanoiden malts. Brewed once before to great results. I wanted to keep this one in rotation.
I have tried this recipe previously to get the vanilla out of this and it was pretty good. Using Golden Promise and tweaking the recipe from brewgr to my tastes.
A recipe I got off of brewgr.com I changed up and made it really quickly. Being the summertime, my brewing is all over the place. Warrior hops in an easy schedule.
