Janets Brown Ale

My version of this well known beer. Award winning and very famous in the brewing scene. I wanted to get a recipe this time to see how it would fare using my equipment. I wanted a brown after making a red and I thought it would be good to try this out. The brew went well and I waited a little too long to post this. Crazy hop schedule and I was a bit lazy about adding in the Northern Brewer hops and the Cascade hops. A very nice smelling boil for all who savored it.

Bootstrap Brown

A nice Brown I had previously rounded off the grist bill. I am omitting the 2 oz of cocoa powder I would usually add to this recipe. I later added a cup of coffee beans and 2 oz of cocoa nibs.

Cocoa Brown

An American Brown Ale with cocoa powder added. Lots of Maris Otter and Brown Malts added with Chinook and Galaxy hops.

Breakfast Brown

An American Brown ale I researched quite a bit and batted the creation back an forth with a few collaborators. I added 4 oz of cocoa powder the last 15 minutes of the boil, then later added a cup of coffee beans and 2 oz of cocoa nibs in the keg. Chinook and Galaxy hops.
